Hagen Nares PLLC Truck Wreck & Brain Injury Lawyers is seeking to hire a seasoned trial attorney to join our growing Plaintiff's Personal Injury law firm. The position is 100% remote.

Our firm gets injured families the treatment and financial security they desire. We hold large companies accountable for putting profit over safety. Responsibilities

  • Attend All Hands Meeting on Mondays at 9:30 am MST (unless otherwise rescheduled)
  • Attend monthly Docket Reviews
  • Attend weekly Team Meetings
  • Attend quarterly Performance Reviews
  • Supervise, delegate, and monitor case managers, litigation paralegals, records department, and investigations.
  • Conduct depositions and attend hearings, conferences, meetings, and try cases.
  • Move cases along from intake to resolution or filing.
  • Review and sign off on all correspondence, demands, and releases.
  • Report all issues, concerns, or questions to the owners.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and be a member in good-standing
  • Must have at least 8 years admitted to practice law
  • Must have at least 3 years of personal injury experience
  • Must have first-chaired a trial
  • Proficient typing skills without grammar or spelling errors is absolutely required.
  • Proficiency with English language is required.
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and empathize with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work with a team, including taking and giving constructive criticism.
  • Ability and desire to treat team members with respect and fairness.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment.
  • Ability to follow processes and guidelines and to meet deadlines.
  • Interest in learning various technical and non-legal fields in order to understand the issues in cases.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $300,000 year, depending on skills and experience. The compensation package includes a discretionary quarterly bonus for reaching fiscal bench markers.

Membership to Colorado Bar, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, and Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys will be paid by firm. Reimbursement for travel mileage or pre-approved out of pocket expenses will be paid by firm.

Responsibilities

  • Attending All Hands Meeting on Mondays at 9:30 am MST (unless otherwise rescheduled)
  • Attend 1 weekly 1-on-1 Meeting
  • Attend 1 weekly Board Meeting
  • Attend New Case Stage Meetings as needed
  • Complete initial client contact within 1 business day of receiving case in-firm
  • Checking Client Shared File for new documents upon receiving alert from OneDrive
  • Ensuring Client is in Treatment
  • Through Health Insurance or Medical Funding
  • Update treatment memo in OneDrive
  • Set up claims (Auto Insurance and Health Insurance)
  • Establish liability, Source of Recovery
  • Request Initial Documents including Open Record Requests, Medical Records/Bill Requests, and Documents from Client (Driver's License, Health Insurance Card, Additional Insurance Coverages (Res/Rel, UM/UIM, etc.), Injury and Property Damage Photos and Lay Damage Witness Information (Contact))
  • Send out LORs (Auto, Health, Etc.) and ensure LOAs, dec pages, and full policy disclosures are received
  • Maintain monthly communication with clients including Case Updates and Treatment Updates
  • Keep case stage updated. New case stage must be approved.
  • Maintain all record-keeping procedures including Updating Values tab with Medical Bills, Subrogation Amounts, Liens, Case Expenses, Checks received and Update records tab with date requested on Medical Record and Bill requests
  • Draft and Send Demands upon approval by Attorney- utilizing Evenup vendor or self-draft including Draft Demand Letter and Redacting Medical Records and Bills to Send to Liability Carrier
  • Check Balances/Liens
